Foundation for the Fine Arts Senior Scholarship Information
The Foundation for the Fine Arts is sponsoring a scholarship program available to seniors who meet the following requirements:
- Student/Family must be members of the FFA
- Student must have been a CHS student for 3 years
- Student must be a graduating senior
- Student must have a minimum grade point average of 85%
- Student must have participated in a Fine Arts Discipline for at least 2 years
- Student must be currently participating in a Fine Arts Discipline
- Student must have recommendation from a Fine Arts Teacher
Each student will be selected based on their academic performance, Fine Arts achievements, essay, and other extra curricular activities at the school and in the local community.
Selection Process
- The Director for each discipline may nominate up to three to five students based on the nomination criteria.
- Each nominated student may complete the application. The Directors and students will be provided with information on where and how to turn in their applications. - The Scholarship Committee will review the applications and select the recipients based on their academic performance, Fine Arts achievements, essay and extra curricular activities.
- The students selected to be recipients will be recognized at the annual Honors Night in the spring.
Scholarship Amount
The FFA will award up to six senior scholarships in the amount of $500 each.
Scholarship Committee
The Scholarship Committee will consist of the Assistant Principal over the Fine Arts Department, the Fine Arts Department Head, at least one FFA Board member. The committee may consist of 3-5 total members.
