Centennial High School Visual Arts Program

We are thrilled to have your student participating in the Visual Arts Program at Centennial High School. We have one of the most outstanding Visual Arts programs in Atlanta and our program continues to grow due to the help and support of the Visual Arts parents.  We are also very fortunate to have three wonderful art teachers at Centennial High School; John Riggins, Lexi Strong and Charlotte Turner. They all work very hard to assure that your student has a positive and rewarding experience in the art program.

FFA Membership

The Visual Arts program is part of the Foundation for the Fine Arts. The FFA is a volunteer parent organization that supports all five fine arts disciplines at Centennial High School. Please support the FFA by becoming a member The membership form is attached. The first $25 of your donation is designated for the FFA. Any donation above that amount goes directly to the Visual Arts program. If you join at the Gold Level, your student will receive a commemorative Gold Brick that will be placed in the auditorium lobby. The Gold Brick gives your student a lasting memory of their Fine Arts experience at Centennial.

Fundraising

You may be aware that significant recent changes were made in the Fulton County School budgets resulting in the deletion of certain programs. This included a cutback of 50% of the funding for art supplies for students here at Centennial High School.  Art supplies are very expensive and in order to continue to improve our programs and pay for the needed supplies, we will be participating in several fundraising projects throughout the year to help raise the needed funds. We hope that you will support our fundraising projects because all of the proceeds will directly benefit the art students.

Parent Volunteers Needed

We need parents to help out this year with a variety of activities. This includes fundraising, concession stand help, and much more.  If you are interested in volunteering some of your time to benefit the Visual Arts department, please contact the one of the Visual Arts Presidents or Art Instructors.

Thanks so much for your support of the Visual Arts Program and Foundation for the Fine Arts.
