The Centennial Orchestra Program
The Centennial orchestra is highly respected in the community for its sophisticated music and superior sound. It is composed of three music groups:
- Chamber Orchestra
- Sinfonia Orchestra
- Beginning Orchestra
The orchestra is directed by Mr. Young Kim, who was selected as the 2006 Music Educator of the Year. We maintain a very active schedule of performances throughout the year. The orchestra has been invited to perform at the Georgia Music Educators conference in Savannah, the Midwest Music Conference in Chicago, and also recently traveled to Italy and performed in Rome, Florence and Venice.
At Festival, the Orchestra consistently scores superior ratings. Being a part of the orchestra is fun, challenging and provides the students with the chance to make valuable long-term friendships.
