Centennial High School Band
The Centennial Bands programs comprise a total of six primary groups and have almost 200 students involved.
The signature band organization is the “Mighty Marching Knights”. Members participating in this marching band perform at all football games as well as parades, marching competitions and special events. They recently performed in the "Salute to America" Parade and Peach Bowl Parade, and this year will be performing in the “Festival of Trees” Christmas parade and have the honor of being selected to perform at the Gator Bowl game and parade.
The concert bands are composed of two groups, the Symphonic Band and the Concert Band. Subsets of the concert bands include ensembles such as the “Knight Winds”. In addition, other performing groups include the Jazz Band and the Pep Band.
If you are interested in dance, the Varsity Dance Team and Auxiliary, a part of the Mighty Marching Knights, is the place to be! They perform using pom poms, flags, rifles and sabers. They dance at football games, pep rallies with the Band during school and compete in competitions each year. All of performing Band groups are directed by Mr. James Warner.
